2016 Red Sox Radio Network Affiliates
The Boston Red Sox Radio Network is comprised of 56 stations (34 AM, 22 FM) in the 6 New England states plus New York.
On August 26, 2009, Boston's WEEI 850 AM became the official flagship station for the Red Sox, supplanting their sister station, WRKO 680 AM, which had aired Red Sox games since the beginning of the 2007 season. WEEI was the Network's flagship station from 1995 through 2006, after which time WRKO signed a 10-year deal with the Red Sox to be the flagship. Both WEEI and WRKO are owned by Entercom, who decided to make the switch since WEEI is an all-sports station while WRKO has a news/talk format. WEEI switched to the FM frequency, at 93.7, prior to the 2013 season.
The announcers are Joe Castiglione, in his 34th year calling Red Sox games, and Tim Neverett, who is in his 1st year with the team after broadcasting Pittsburgh Pirates games from 2009-2015.
